Dear Centerville Families,

I am pleased to report a successful school opening for 2010-2011. We currently have 759 Centerville students who are off to a great start with their learning this year. It is wonderful to have all the students back in the building. I have been so impressed with their manners and the respect they have for all staff members. I am proud of our highly qualified and dedicated faculty. These educators welcome your comments, and they view education as a partnership between home and school. We appreciate your support of our school through your membership in PTA. Our PTA / Curriculum Night is August 24, beginning at 6:00pm, with classroom visits beginning at 6:30pm.

A few reminders that may help as the school year begins, the Parent Handbook is located on the Centerville Website ( centervillees.com ), if you do not have internet access please let your child’s teacher know and we will send home a copy. One question that always comes up is bringing cupcakes to celebrate your child’s birthday. Due to the many different allergies our students have, please purchase those so we can read the ingredient labels before serving. Simply bring the cupcakes to the front office in the morning and we will make sure they get to lunch on time.

If there is anything I can do to help your child, my door is always open. I host “Coffee with Kim” every Friday at 7:30am, please consider joining me. Our goal at Centerville is to provide the best possible education for each student. With all of us working together, staff, parents, and students, we can experience success!
